ETSI TC ITS arranged for the second ITS workshop in Sophia Antipolis from February 10^th - 12^th, 2010.

ESF GmbH is involved in ITS / RTTT standardisation since almost two decades, and has published a special issue of ESF news. These news present the basic set of CALM (Communications Access for Land Mobiles) communication standards for cooperative ITS systems. ETSI is going to complement this set of standards by missing elements and special functionality needed in Europe for the basic set of applications, which is a small choice out of the large set of ITS applications. The basic set of applications is related to road safety and traffic efficiency built on top of 5,9 GHz communicatzion technology only
